Chicago Is A Bustling, But Very Nice City

Going to Chicago this past summer actually almost felt as if I were back living in the southern city of Charlotte quite a few years ago. Like Charlotte, there were the occasional fast drivers, but for the most part, very friendly people who wave at you and will stop to talk or help you find directions when you need them.

We stayed right in the heart of the city, a sorta do-it-yourself bed and breakfast type, which was very good. The lady that managed it was very sweet and she always made sure we had food in the fridge and checked in with us daily to make sure things were going alright. If you are ever staying in Chicago, I recommend, "At Home Inn Chicago". You can find it on the internet. We stayed at the one on Maude Avenue, which is close to everything. We parked our car and about 90% of our stay was walking. I have never seen so many people walk, either as I did in Chicago. I also noted that you don't notice as many obese people there as where I am at. They walk a lot and they really are so friendly. Very nice place and you could even walk to the Lake, and oh the lake! It was the highlight of the trip! Nothing like Lake Michigan, it is just like looking at the ocean. Of course, I had camera ready and had to take plenty of pictures and make some new merchandise for zazzle
